Best Après Ski Resort in Europe

We all know that skiing is just as much about the Après Ski as the mountain itself!

Après Ski culture originated in the Alps, where it is still most popular and we believe we can find the best Après Ski resort with your help! The music might be Europop you might be spoiled with some live Après bands but you can be sure it’ll be played loud and you will get covered in beer! Favoured Après drinks include Jäger shots and pitchers of beer.

Only two Austrian resorts but 7 from France? Without naming two of the most famous ones like Ischgl and Sölden? I love going to French resorts for skiing, but sorry guys.. best apres ski is happening in Austria! 😉

Agree with Marco, France good but Austria better… Better facilities, cleaner bit more expensive but that’s the way it should be like the old days to stop the common riff raff idiots that have plagued the resorts….

USA and Canada good for boarding/ski-ing but piss poor apres ski… No heritage or culture…

I’ve been in the music scene in the alps for over 10 years and I have personally played over 1000 gigs and have seen it all. Many resorts have venues with a kick ass atmosphere that goes off during the first song, usually these venues are living up to a hype, St Anton comes to mind. Tignes and Val’d have a few good venues but the nightlife is poor later in the evening. The best in the opinion of many of the touring bands is the 3 vallees, particularly Meribel. Multiple venues with live music every apres and evening. Meribel is where the bands and DJs want to play so that says a lot about the scene there.
