Affiliate marketing

We work with Rakuten Advertising to run our affiliate programme. If you arrive at our Site via a link from one of our affiliate partners and you have consented to marketing cookies, Rakuten Advertising will place a cookie on your device to record that referral. If you then make a purchase, we share limited order details (order ID, order value, items purchased and any discount code used) with Rakuten Advertising so that the referring partner can be paid commission. We do not share your name, address or payment details with Rakuten Advertising for this purpose.

You can read how Rakuten Advertising uses personal information in its Services Privacy Policy.

Advertising and analytics

With your consent, we use the following services to understand how our Site is used and to show you relevant adverts on other websites and apps:

Some of these services are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which only runs them once you have given the relevant consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie settings (see below).

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as scripts, pixels and local storage, work in a similar way, and this section covers them too. We use strictly necessary cookies to run the store and checkout. These are always active because the Site cannot work without them.

When you first visit our Site, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies (functional, analytics and marketing cookies). If you decline, we do not set them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link or icon on our Site. We use Consentmo to manage your cookie choices.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named in this policy, so they can help us run our business, and only as far as they need it. These include:

  • Shopify, which powers our online store. See Shopify's privacy policy.
  • Payment providers, including Shopify Payments and Klarna, to process your payment.
  • Gorgias, to provide customer support and live chat.
  • Klaviyo and Attentive, to send marketing emails and texts you have signed up for.
  • FulfilmentCrowd, our fulfilment partner, and the couriers they use, to store, pack and deliver your order.
  • Rakuten Advertising, Google, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft, Amplitude, Convert and Datadog, as described above and only with your consent.

We may also share your information where required by law, for example in response to a court order or a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect our rights.

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, process personal information outside the UK, for example in Canada and the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your information

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years from the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
  • Customer support correspondence: up to 2 years after your query is resolved.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Cookies: for the durations shown in the tables above.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Our platform provider, Shopify, uses limited automated fraud prevention that does not have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, for example:

  • temporarily blocking IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions, for a small number of hours; and
  • temporarily blocking payment cards associated with blocked IP addresses, for a small number of days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information;
  • object to our use of your information, including for direct marketing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@oosc-clothing.com. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

Children

Our Site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track

There is no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not change our practices when we detect one. You can control non-essential cookies using our cookie settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we use your information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
